Ways to contribute

The Board of Directors depends on the volunteers of the community to be involved.  There are several committees who assist the board in carrying out the business of the HOA.  Their responsibilities are important to maintaining home values and keeping our community running smoothly.

The Board of Directors consists of 5 homeowners who are elected to two year terms.  They consist of:

President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Delegate-at-Large

The Board oversees the daily operations of the management company, committees, enforcement and financial investments and purchases.

Operating under the supervision of the board are the following committees:

Design Review Committee

The principal purpose of the Design Review Process is to protect, preserve and maintain the aesthetics and property  values  of  the  residences  within  the  Solera at Kern  Canyon  Community Association.  These  Design Guidelines  serve  to  augment  the  Association’s  CC&Rs by addressing exterior improvements to properties.

Finance Committee

The principal purpose of the Finance Committee shall be to make financial advisory and reporting recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Committee shall conduct research, provide requested analysis, and alert the Board of Directors regarding possible financial trends and other financial reporting matters. The Committee is not authorized to take action independent of the Board of Directors, unless the action is specifically assigned herein or by subsequent Board of Director’s resolution.

Landscape Committee

The principal purpose of the Landscape Advisory Committee shall be to make recommendations to the Board of Directors for landscape, irrigation, maintenance or improvements to all common areas of the community.

Lifestyle Advisory Committee

The principal purpose of the Lifestyle Committee is to assist the Board in planning community-wide events that incorporate the interests of an active lifestyle.

Property Committee

The principle purpose of the Property Committee shall be to make advisory recommendations to the Board of Directors for all property and facilities belonging to the Community.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining up to date information about board activities.  This includes oversight of the Solera Sun Newsletter, website and TownSq announcements of interest to homeowners.
